Why do people from all walks of life follow the East Terminal Railway?
Most people wont watch a sporting event when everyone knows the outcome!
Our “long Shot” is far more fun to watch! Will we make the right calls? Will we run amuck?
Are we doing it the way you would? You are not only the “Fan” watching….. you are on the crew as well! Join in!
We like this alot!
I like it. Glad I helped just by buying a mug and tee.
I will work on an HO Shortline Boxcar.
Wilfred Thanks for your help. Brian
Wish could have found an abandoned line, love trains but at 76 time has passed me by, hope fire was given to grandsons as my cousin did to me. When his company sent steam engines he raced to scrap deal and bought 3 steam engines, and 3 diesel loco and along with co workers restored the all back to operating conditions with upgrades and oil burning for class 1 operating, but cancer robbed him of his dreams
Thanks For the “saving steam” story, Its hard to keep the scrappers torch away when equipment is surplus and scrap prices are up. Brian
I would like to see more of I’d like to see more of the relationships. That’s a huge thing that sets u a part :
– why don’t we at least acknowledge, see, and get a “hi” from the camera person on some of these videos, esp if it’s grahm.
– in general grahm needs more time in front of the camera or doing voiceover. He is good at it.
– grahm said he wanted to show the behind-the-scenes parts of the relationship, incl disagreements. But mostly it’s inspirational and educational to see how family members can work together in a big endevour.
– grahm said he’d like to show people that help u, but i only noticed that one interview with his friend who cuts trees, which i liked.
– why didn’t we get to meet people like the friend who runs the tractor show in the carolinas?
– when do we get to meet mrs. East terminal and hear her thoughts?
Brian and grahm, i certainly see a risk of damaging your relationship or getting big egos by going in the direction i’m suggesting.
I just re-watched some of the Feb 14, 2021 video in which Grahm gives us a tour and interviews his tree-cutting friend. I was right in my previous comment. Grahm is very good talking and the interview is very strong. The personal is powerful, like when Grahm says it’s an honor to be Brian’s son, or we see the rapport Grahm has with his long-time friend. I think you guys would add a lot of value with more of this kind of thing.
Tom Thank you for bring that part up, I’m glad it resonates with you. I am proud of Graham. ( and Mrs. ETR! ) Brian
Next time I read a blog, Hopefully it wont fail me as much as this particular one. I mean, Yes, it was my choice to read, however I really believed you would have something helpful to talk about. All I hear is a bunch of whining about something you could fix if you werent too busy searching for attention.
When you create the map of your railroad, I would like you to keep the names like Death Valley. The Mega railroads have colorful names for locations in the middle of nowhere. Including names like Death Valley might give your railroad a big railroad feel.
May I just say what a comfort to uncover somebody who truly knows what theyre talking about on the internet. You actually know how to bring a problem to light and make it important. More and more people should look at this and understand this side of the story. Its surprising you arent more popular because you certainly have the gift.
