Why is the East Terminal Railway story so compelling? Why are people from all walks of life following the fascinating story of the “Long Shot” Short Line ?
It’s truly a David Vs. goliath story! The railroad industry is dominated by giants and their little brothers. You can’t get anymore Goliath than the class 1 railroads, CSX, NS, UP, BNSF and the Canadians. Next you have Goliath’s little brothers, the big short line holding companies, Genesee and Wyoming, Watco, etc.
Lastly you have David, the East Terminal Railway! Many railroaders and rail fans would love to own their own railroad, but it’s just not in the cards for them. So join the ETR and follow the ups and downs of the East Terminal Railway! It’s a journey that you are welcome to join us on.
We need and want you to follow, join in, and give us your advice as we pursue short line railroad success.

I am very happy to see the website to accompany the You Tube features. I have been watching from the start and wish I could be in your shoes. I may well be by to see the operation someday as I have a nephew that graduated Miami and is in the Dayton area with a niece that is a pharmacist in Dayton. Happy Thanksgiving and I cant wait to see whats next.
The railroad and locomotive are fun but the real attraction is the friendship we feel when you are showing us productive work being performed by people who really like what they are doing. This is so infectious we can’t resist watching and looking for more. We are thankful to have great americans showing us the way to success. You know thousands of viewer want to help, assist, contribute in some way to the progress of the East Terminal Ry. Many of us would welcome the opportunity to visit but for now we watch and support with kind words and wish you the best.
Buck I am having a BLAST and really enjoy having you along. Brian
Been watching since day 1 with hopeful anticipation of your future success with car storage, maintenance, scrapping , transloading or whatever. Keep this great real -life content coming (in between the work that pays the bills). Your investment in us is amazing to me and I appreciate both of you. Can’t wait to have an excuse to visit in person!
Thanks Kevin You are the wind under our wings! Brian
Scott I like you intrest in the business ( income ) side. I talk about rail car storage in this weekends video. Brian
Wld love to come help out for a few days.
I’ve been watching since the first week. What hooked me is someone knowledgeable & friendly explaining everything to people like me that don’t have any RR experience. I can’t wait to watch the video where the ETR cashes its first check!
Chuck Yes the first check! That will be the episode! Brian
Thanks for posting your dream of owning a railroad on youtube. My dream is to own a radio station.
We both compete against the giants of the industry. From watching the videos you treat the viewers like friends even though you have never met us. Are you building this website yourself? If so I noticed you need to put a ETR icon where the wordpress logo is. Will this site also be used to do ETR Business? Looking forward to each new episode. Thanks for being you.
Yes I built the site by myself, Wow what a learning curve! Brian
I really like “radio” I am just finishing a book on the development of radar for WW2. Brian
Best wishes and enjoy your videos.
Michael Thanks, always tell me how to do better. Brian
If it runs on tracks I love it! I was conceived when my father worked for Pullman Standard Car Company in Pullman, IL. Tracks and wheels are in my genes. Well, maybe not, but I like to think they are. How could I not be swept up in the excitement of a father and son team bringing back to life a piece of railroad. Don’t get me wrong I have the greatest respect railroad modelers, miniature railroad builders and operators and railfans. But, the East Terminal Railway is quite something different and unique. It is an act of considerable bravery and energy. ETR know that for everyone who tells you, “you’ll never get it going,” there are those of us who believe you will. One wonderful aspect of the ETR is that we are being invited along on the adventure. Thank you Brian and Graham!
Bill Thanks for the encouragement! You are defiantly welcome along! Next week we come out with the map! Brian
Bill Thanks for being a believer, I do think we will make it, I already see it! Brian
